An active member of the wider Research School team who has gone through a recruitment, selection and induction process.
Has the credibility, expertise, experience and capacity to undertake multiple tasks/deployments on behalf of the Research School.
Trusted to represent the Research School and facilitate communication events and external training, or provide wraparound support, independently.
May also support exemplification activity.
Recruitment – formal application and interview process (ideally involving external support e.g. RDL screening applications / attending interviews).
Induction and professional development – core induction programme completed either in person or as live online sessions, plus attendance of additional PD (Train the Trainer and Deep Dives) related to planned deployment. Research School has regular engagement with ELE / research network meetings (where applicable).
Management – MoU in place with individual and host organisation / line manager. Where appropriate deployed to at least one project per year to remain ‘active’ (there may be circumstances where this is not possible such as an extended period of leave or limited engagement opportunities). Observation and feedback or coaching recommended as part of ongoing quality assurance. Annual review meeting to discuss performance and capacity (using internal tools and resources).
